
Here I am, either meant to be at the Macleay museum or at my home studio working towards the body of work due at Sheffer Gallery in 2 weeks, instead out at Summer Hill walking up the streets collecting more thrown out junk. I have not stopped outside Red Door Gallery for a long time. It was once run as a co-operative and I had been involved in curating one of the yearly community exhibitions. Now privately owned by an artist I met today as Jules. The No Towers in the window I assume is their local fight against Telstra communications as mine in Haberfield is with ugly multinationals McD. Nice to see the red door and its effects on neighbouring shopfronts.. and how great to fill a potentially characterless laundromat with kids art...
