This is one of the smaller works that will be in the collectors show at Sheffer next week. It is amazing how the nerves can play havoc and so I am finding it hard to focus today. This pretty girl finch will be framed by the intensely decorated vintage book pages below. I know it looks like it will clash and be kitsch. But this series is about the everyday object now disposed of/ expendable matched up with my beauties, the neglected bird skins from a victorian collection. I think the days with my vintage shop has finally leaked into my art work.
