Found this record on an oppy outing last year.... and will be seeing Alice tonight for the screening of Lovely Bones.

This 1940's German fashion image is from my new Thames and Hudson book of Forties Fashion. It says most German high fashions were labeled in magazines as "unavailable until after the war" and were made only for export to neutral, occupied, and alligned countries to bring in much needed currency.

It's not the most exciting of outfits but it's the cocker spaniel I want to dance with and one day companion me.
