Dorota Mytych's statement:  My recent work is about the everyday, the casual and the unexpected, where chance and the element of surprise is welcomed. The subject of this work is process. It is a process that acts as stimulus for thought. This work is informed by my own story and the story of generations before me, who experienced war, instability, hardship and resistance. 

On my wall today a postcard from Rabí of Czech R; my edited version of dutch painter Jan Weenix's White Peacock painting (it was a big distraction from my immediate practice of reworked books!!) and a detail of Constellation, an ink drawing by Dorota Mytycha.
