Arrived home early today to find in bloom my Sprekelia formosissima commonly known as Jacobean Lily! It didn't flower last year so got quite worried. This spectacular bulbous plant originates from Mexico and Guatemala. It is happiest with full sun and it's said to respond well to late spring thunderstorms ... perfect.
