Tidy, clean up, repaint, shuffle around... here is to the psyching-up process for my studio practice which always reminds me of the dog turning and turning in his basket before the final curl up for sleep. This rose alone in the garden had to be brought in to the parlour. An almost perfect rose but trust me to see the black spot on the leaf!

"She said that she would dance with me if I brought her red roses,"
cried the young Student; "but in all my garden there is no red rose."

From her nest in the holm-oak tree the Nightingale heard him, and she looked out through the leaves, and wondered.   O.Wilde

I wanted to see what a nightingale looked like and while image sourcing.. found that in Japan not only are they prized for their song but also their droppings which are used in facial treatments. ?                                            image and odd info from Weird Asia News
